What do we do
The Mt Albert Business Association is currently focused on the following activities, to support our businesses. By supporting our work, you’ll help us achieve these things together.
– Getting to know all our businesses, building a network and creating new connections (this includes businesses in the Village and those in the wider Mt Albert area).
– Creating an online directory of all Mt Albert businesses – there’s lots of ways to “shop local” in Mt Albert!
– Implementing practical initiatives to make the Village a safe and secure place to do business and to visit.
– Promoting Mt Albert and profiling Mt Albert business through our “MtAlbertAKL” marketing channels.
– Working directing with the Albert-Eden Local Board to provide input into Auckland Council and Local Board plans.
– Secure funding for business initiatives.
– Providing practical tools for businesses to become more resilient.
– Taking practical steps to enhance the look and feel of the Village.
– Forming an establishment committee to support the Association’s setup and build momentum.
– Developing a plan for activations and events that benefit businesses and the community.
Who we are
The Mt Albert Business Association is a business-led initiative established in late 2025, by Mt Albert business owners and local Mt Albert residents Charlie Chao and Kris Bright.
At the moment, we are in the early stages of building awareness and forming an establishment committee. If you are interested in joining us, please get in touch!
